How to reach us

We welcome editorial correspondence from readers, researchers, and collectors who use the Public Domain Literature Library. The most direct way to share observations or raise a concern is to write to our senior editor, Robert Whitman, at editor@asgoa.com. Robert evaluates new fiction manuscripts and maintains editorial standards across the catalogue.

When to write

You may wish to contact us about any of the following:

• Incorrect title or author metadata – If a book appears under the wrong author, a title is misspelled, or the publication details are inaccurate.
• Category placement – A work that seems misfiled among categories such as Fantasy Juvenile Worlds or Science Fiction Utopias might benefit from a second look.
• Unreadable files or reader failures – If an ebook fails to open, displays garbled text, or causes your reading application to crash.
• Accessibility problems – Issues with screen-reader compatibility, missing alt text, or poor contrast in the reading interface.
• Privacy questions – Concerns about how we handle personal data, cookies, or reading preferences.
• Copyright or rights concerns – If you believe a title in our catalogue is not in the public domain in your jurisdiction, or if you hold rights that may be affected.
• General editorial observations – Suggestions for new categories, corrections to introductory notes, or thoughts on how the catalogue could better serve its audience.

What to include in your message

To help us act quickly and accurately, please include as much of the following as is relevant:

• The exact page URL where the issue appears.
• The ebook title and, if known, the author or editor.
• The file format you are using (EPUB, PDF, plain text, etc.).
• The device or browser and its version (e.g., iPadOS 17, Firefox 120, Kindle Paperwhite).
• A clear description of the observed problem – what you expected and what actually happened.
• If your message concerns copyright or rights, any supporting information you can share about the work’s legal status in your country.

For example, a report about a military history volume might read: “On the page for ‘Historical record of the Eighty-eighth Regiment of Foot, or Connaught Rangers’ (EPUB), the table of contents links to the wrong chapters. I am using Calibre 6.0 on Windows 10.”

What not to expect

We are a small independent operation and do not guarantee a response within a specific timeframe. We do not provide technical support for third-party reading applications, nor can we answer general research queries. If you are looking for a particular title that is not yet in the catalogue, we cannot promise to add it. Please also note that we do not accept unsolicited submissions of new works.
